In Memory of Charles A. Hamilton December 31, 1949 - September 23, 2013 Visitation: Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Service: Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., Moreland Funeral Home HAMILTON Sgt. Charles A. Hamilton, age 63, of New Bern, NC, formerly of Westerville, OH, went home to his eternal rest on September 23, 2013. Preceded in death by father, Charles in 1962, sister, Sharon Kemmerling in 2009 and mother, Carol Hamilton in 2011. Survived by sons, Troy Hamilton and Chad (Jessica) Hamilton; daughter, Brittany (fiance, Landon Goebel) Hamilton; grandchildren, Madison, Aiden, Isabelle, Maddie and Jodie; brother, Gary (Brenda) Hamilton; sisters, Nancy Highfield, Rev. Patricia (Rev. Robert) Iddings and Connie (Ric) Mallory; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sgt. Hamilton proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam from 1967-1970 earning National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 stars, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/Device, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Navy Achievement Medal W/Combat V. Charles was once the sole proprietor of the Window Man of Delaware for 15 years and retired automotive sales manager in Columbus. Member of Thurman Avenue Methodist Church. His faith, dedication, discipline, work ethic and sense of humor will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, OH, Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Tim Rash, officiating. Interment Northlawn Memory Gardens.
