In Memory of Clyde Hinton “Buddy” Spears (March 18, 1935 - March 8, 2014) Clyde Hinton “Buddy” Spears, 78, of Waynesboro, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was born in Virginia on March 18, 1935, son of the late Lee Hamilton and Viola “Bessie” Spears. He retired from Genicom and was a simple man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel L. Spears;two grandchildren, Stevie Spears and Crystal Ward; 1 brother and several sisters. He is survived by three sons, Tim Spears, Tammy and Nicole Hemp, Gary Spears and wife Tracie, and David Spears; a daughter Shelby Ward and her husband, Robert, all of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Spears, Bradley Spears, Ashley Driver and husband Josh, Derek Spears, Whitney Spears, Brittani Zimmerman and husband Tyler, Amber Ward, D.W. Spears, and Kelsey Ward; 3 great grandchildren, Zac Spears, Mason and Kaylee Driver. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and 2 sisters. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Auen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at McDow Funeral Home, 1701 West Main Street, Waynesboro.
