In Nigeria today,we the citizens have learnt to take threats by Boko Haram seriously but the only people who do nothing when BH sends advance warning is our government;they are so concerned and busy with the coming elections than in the security of the citizens they govern! When it comes to insurgency,other countries government would say We will PROTECT our people... But Nigerian government says This is a wake up call for you all;Be vigilant,Install security cameras in homes and offices. This public statement came after embezzling $470million CCTV Contract! We the people have become the freedom fighters for the abducted #chibokgirls while our govt. shows an unconcerned attitude towards them! We the people,for so long have been our own PHCN by generating our own light ourselves,we are our own Water Corporation by creating means to supply our own water ourselves,sometimes,we have to repair our roads ourselves so that they can be partially motorable,in short,we are our own local governments chairmen by often doing their community responsibilities for them!We have also been our own securities and now our govt has told us to upgrade in taking over their own responsibility by getting security cameras ourselves. How many pple can afford this,considering the abject poverty status of many Nigerian citizens! Think of a few other governments responsibilities that we,the people have for long been subjected to do ourselves! It is obvious that this govt is only in power to SUBDUE the people and subject them to UNDUE conformity! This is not so in other countries,esp. the first world countries. Nigeria is a third world Country,not really because she is poor,Nigeria is a third world Country because we have refused to have a SHIFT in the frequencies of our THINKing, as a people!
