In Paris there are lots of Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Moroccans and Africans (directly from Africa). Its really funny because Id like to say Im not prejudice but shopping in Paris around foreigners (and thats a joke because Im the foreigner here unable to communicate outside of saying Bonjour and Auvoir) can be quite frustrating. They can be really rude, and they dont smile! Until, alas, Sonia and I enter a wine store and A Chinese Foreign exchange student who speaks a little English serves us. His name is ANG (rhymes with Sung) DELIGHTFUL to say the least. He explains the difference between Chinese Japanese and Koreans. Also why hes here in Paris and how hes studying business in hopes for a better life etc Lesson learned... Which I already knew but must of obviously forgot (Especially being black in American born in London to Bajan Parents and having experienced much prejudice from everyone) Never judge anyone based on a group or difference in skin color (appearance)! WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS, VERY DIFFERENT AND SO MUCH ALIKE! In all nationalities we have good, bad, polite, rude, friendly, smart, ignorant, agreeable and disagreeable We who shut down to others because they differ in appearance and or culture from us, miss out big time. Im growing. I really want to deal with people because of their inside, their minds, their hearts and not because of their appearance. You look like me were cool. You dont look like me, Im with my guard up. Not good... Kool Beanz Charmaine Youre getting better. Pleasure to meet you ANG!!! You changed my perspective! Wide Awake in Paris!! HAPPY
