The vast majority of documents, 99%, will be presented here in the original”,- reported the chief of the exhibition department of the State Archive of the Russian Federation Marina Sidorova. “The exhibition will see the original diaries of Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra, authentic samples of abdication, signed by Nicholas II on his own behalf and on behalf of her son. In addition to documents and photographs, the exhibition will present the chronicles of the early twentieth century and a unique tape archive Phonodocuments recording made in 1963 - a 3 hours 52 minutes long film about the royal family, and a part of this recording will be played for the public. Of renunciation before death The exhibition traces the entire path of the imperial family since Nicholas II abdicated the throne before his death, and also reveals details of two investigations into these tragic circumstances, - explained M. Sidorova. Thanks to archival documents and artifacts provided from its own collections and forensic experts, creators of the exhibition managed to recreate the expertise of situational shooting of the royal family in the Ipatiev house. The section devoted to the investigation into the murder of the emperor, begins with the first investigation, which was conducted during the Civil War investigator Omsk District Court N. Sokolov, gathered a unique set of documents. The investigation continued into the 1990s, when experts Prosecutor Generals Office has collected and analyzed hundreds of documents and testimony given a variety of unique expertise to identify the remains found in Ekaterinburg imperial family. Ending the exhibition is the three volumes of the order for termination of the criminal case № 18/123666-93 to clarify the circumstances of the death of members of the Russian Imperial House and members of their entourage in the period 1918-1919 in the Urals and in Petrograd. The exhibition has already been demonstrated in Moscow and Yekaterinburg, and in each city, according to the authors, has its own peculiarities. Making the exposure in St. Petersburg, we remember that in the Peter and Paul Cathedral are buried the remains of Nicholas II and his family, and this section of the exhibition is devoted to the topic - said M.Sidorova. - Here are photos and documents about the preparation of the burial ceremony in 1998, as well as things associated with this ceremony.
