In Remembrance of Thanksgiving As they struggled to put down - TopicsExpress

In Remembrance of Thanksgiving As they struggled to put down roots, In the world to which they had come, They faced many difficult hardships, But they licked them one by one. With the help of Squanto and his people, They learned to survive by tilling the land, And when the autumn harvest was over, They prepared a feast of thanks so grand. And invited Squanto and his Wapanogs, To enjoy their feast of love and survival, The Indians brought their harvest bounty, The first Thanksgiving became a revival. The feast was filled with love and laughter, As they celebrated that first hard year, They had made it through the tough times, They were thankful and in good cheer. Upon that first Thanksgiving a tradition, Was born in a new and strange land, Celebrated by vastly different cultures, They stood united together hand in hand. We still remember that time so long ago, As neighbors came together in celebration, Let us remember what it meant to them, And continue our religious diversification. Thanksgiving is a day for sweet reflection, Offering a fest of love, kindness and sharing, Remembering things both received and given, Being thankful compassionate and caring. I wish each and every person love, sweetness, compassion, caring and peace. Pray for peace, wage a little peace and pass on the goodness of Thanksgiving to every person you meet. On this Thanksgiving remember that either we all matter or none of us do! As I pass the peace of Thanksgiving to each of you, I ask only one thing that you pass it on. And do your best to love one another, every single other. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Bob Bearden
