In Romans 11: 14, Paul states, “if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them.” (NKJV) Certainly, Paul captured the full picture of conversion to the outsiders and insiders. Paul realized that the conversion of non-Christians would challenge the house of Israel to commit once again to the Creator, but this time incarnated in Jesus Christ. It is the same situation with the Church. The more the Church is faced with non-Christian conversions that challenge its commitment to the Triune God, the more the convictions of congregations become stronger to God by giving up more worldly habits. Indeed, Conversion is not a one-time event, but it is the continuous renewal process of the church to live a life honoring the living God. Surely, every conversion of non-Christian brings with it a new lesson to the Church. Many times God has prepared the stage for Christians to encounter a non-Christian to bless both with grace. Christian missionaries sometimes have a predetermined mind that they have all what the non-Christian would ever have. To their surprise, the conversion of non-Christians exhibits a higher commitment to Christ, which recalls for both that the one who is forgiven more is loved more. What a marvelous portrait it is to see God bless his people while blessing the non-Christian converts moving from idols to the living God, and sharing the Abrahamic covenant.
