In Saturdays loss to Missouri Will Muschamp once again bet on Jeff - TopicsExpress

In Saturdays loss to Missouri Will Muschamp once again bet on Jeff Driskel and lost. While there is no doubt Driskel is a competitor and plays hard hes proven over the long haul that his consistency is his inconsistency. Every now than then he gets on a roll, like the second half of the Kentucky game. But thats not the norm for Driskel - the norm is filled with bad throws, bad reads, and bad decisions. Muschamp stated all week he would go with the hot hand. At the half Driskel was 4 of 10 with a fumble and INT while Harris was 2 of 3 with a fumble. While 2 of 3 doesnt really illustrate a hot hand 4 of 10 is anything but. As a die-hard GATOR fan I find it incredibly frustrating seeing Muschamp continue to put all his faith in the hands of Driskel. Harris rallied the team in Tennessee, a simple spark that created a flame in the heart of the offense while igniting hope and emotion within the fans. Against Missouri he stood out as a leader and directed two scoring drives. Yes, there was some luck and yes, hell make mistakes. The difference is Driskel has proven over time mistakes are his norm and part of his seasoned game while Harris is young and his mistakes will be part of the learning process. How quickly will Harris be able to grow and will he become a great college quarterback? I hope we all get to find out sooner rather than later!
