In September 2000, I was a part of the team leading a retreat at Camp Cedar Crest, located in Running Springs, CA. On Sunday, September 10th, I was speaking with our Team Pastor Mary Phillips. Pastor Mary shared about an unusual experience she had at the alter of her church the previous weekend. She felt urged by the Lord and entered into intercession prayer. She found herself with arms raised literally crying out to the Lord ask Him over and over to “forgive” us. I was moved to intercede that night also. Early the next morning, Monday, September 11th I was awakened with a frantic knocking on my cabin door, we were told to get to the nearest television and turn on the news. The phone in our cabin rang with friends and family calling to advise us of the attack on the Twin Towers. I realized that what Mary Phillips had experienced was the Lord calling for intercession for our nation. I have never been the same. A few years later, I was given the “Isaiah 9:10” video, by Jonathan Cahn. My first reaction the video was: “our country is toast”, and then that still small voice in my heart reminded me of the tremendous power we have in prayer. I rededicated myself to the 9/11 prayer; and I have organized a prayer event on 9/11 ever since. I invite your participation as we stand in the gap of our nation. The biblical warning signs of national judgment that appeared in the last days of ancient Israel are now reappearing on American soil (“The Harbinger”, Jonathan Cahn). September 11, 2000: · was a national wake-up call, more than any other day… · epitomized our dependence on God and our helplessness without Him… · caused multitudes to pray and to gather in Houses of Worship across the land…
