In Virginia today a supporter of Newt Gingrich in the last primary election pled guilty to perjury and 36 counts of voter fraud. More than 4,000 signatures on a petition to put him on the state wide ballot were fraudulent. The other signature gatherer in the primary was Gov. Perry who had almost 50% of his 11,900 signatures found unverifiable. The local Republican Party uncovered the fraud. In another state where stringent voter suppression laws are trying to be enacted only two voters have been found to be frauds in the last several 4 year elections. Meanwhile back in DC it is an open secret that much of the opposition to the immigration bill is, as a couple of opposition leaders put it, all about adding millions of potential democratic voters to the pool of eligible voters since they would probably not vote republican because they would not support its current positions .
