In a bid to successfully win the fight against drug trafficking, the police in Ramatlabama Port of Entry in North West, arrested two suspects. It is alleged that police officials were on duty when a Toyota NOAH Station Wagon was stopped at a departure searching point. The driver was approached and requested to open the bonnet of the vehicle. Upon search, the police found dagga wrapped in plastic with duct tape in the bonnet of the car. The dagga, weighing 19,1 kg with estimated street value of R26 740,00 was seized. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the dagga was in transit to Botswana. The pair is due to appear in Mmabatho Magistrates Court today, where they will face a charge of possession of dagga.
