In a debate you cannot just claim the otherside is ignorant this is a fallacy. This fallacy is called ad hominem. This makes an attack on that persons character for example in this context. I think A because of this. repsonse well your just ignorant. Not only does the detract from the real debate but your not even proving the mans ignorance. The debate is a means to prove or disprove ignorance, just saying the mans ignorant totally ignores what he is saying and actually reveals an ignorance of your own because of actually disproving this mans point your just claiming he is ignorant in an attempt to hold them past your own possible ignorance.
