In a landmark deal, Clear Channel has signed one of the big three record label conglomerates to a royalty deal. Warner Music Group has formed a partnership with radio’s largest company that will allow it to share in revenue from all Clear Channel platforms while gaining opportunities to promote the music of its emerging and established artists across Clear Channel’s multi-platform assets. I see NOTHING good coming from this - except more control on what you hear, and less opportunity for artist exposure. More corporate control---that will screw the little guy. I have an idea, listen to LOCAL radio and LOCAL music. Hmmmmm.....
