In a logical situation, yes, suicide is a selfish thing to do. Leaving behind those who love you to escape your problems. While Im sure this happens, someone is in debt or does something bad and takes their own life instead of prison or facing what they did...that is selfish. However, I believe in most situations it is not a logical situation at all. The person is overtaken with darkness and can not see anything but that darkness. How could anyone say they should reach out for help? I believe its our responsibility, each one of us, to pay attention to our loved ones. Its the healthy people who should reach out for the sick, not the other way around. How does the one drowning save the one in the boat with the life jacket? Friends, please dont judge what you dont know.
