In a modern world the ideal projection of self isnt one that is - TopicsExpress

In a modern world the ideal projection of self isnt one that is going to cut it. Men feel that by being themselves they can attain what they want in a significant other but that simply wont cut it. Life today is fast an loose and both men and women have tendencies engrained in them that they arent even aware exist. Men feel the need to hide emotion, to wear a mask and project the ideal version of what a man should be Rather than being what they themselves are in the hopes of attracting a mate. But even disregarding what a man should be and actually being oneself is entirely pointless. because of what has been engrained in women. Women are tricked into attempting to appeal to and attract a certain type of person from early age. Prince charming, the knight in shinning armour, whatever term you wish to use, point being he doesnt exist. They tear themselves apart and throw themselves back together into what they think they should be rather than just being who they are because who they are isnt relevant or cool. The cultural worship of celebrities and pop stars that appeal to the masses is what they want to be, and what think think men want. So when the abandonment of self occurs and they strive to become this thing they leave themselves so out of touch with who they really are they cant find their way back. Women have tried to remake themselves in a certain image because of culture all for the sake of someone who doesnt exist. Men because they are so out of touch with themselves cant establish the connection to have something meaningful with a women. Yet that doesnt matter because the girl he wants is hidden under layers of confusion and hatred. And the man she wants is trying so hard to be what a man should be that he cant establish that connection with her. Its like both parties and searching through a masquerade looking for a certain someone but never finding them because for both parties they are hidden. For both parties, dont try to remake yourself into what you think you should be to appeal to a nonexistent person. And neither should you take another person and try to make them into that nonexistent person. Dont try to create. And dont try to remake either. Simply find someone who IS. For all the masquerading true people are still there. But because they are not what is desired they fall into the cracks and are hidden from sight. It would seem the real people are the transparent ones that take a back seat, unseen. And its the fake people who sit out in front, for all the crowd to see. Which would you rather be?
