In a moment, suddenly I will die and be gone. Has something you were very involved in just suddenly been over? College I studied for was suddenly over when I past the finial exam. All the projects and responsibilities of a job one day were no longer my concern the next day when I suddenly lost a job. I worked so hard as a relief worker in a flooded village then when my time was over suddenly I was home again. All my efforts to raise my daughter then suddenly she was gone. Two families, two lives suddenly all the concerns and cares gone a moment, the next day never to see them again. Twice, suddenly I lost my home. My yard needed mowing. The light of my bed room was left on. My puppies needed to be fed. All the concerns of a life, twice, over in a moment. All the concerns remained unresolved and suddenly in a moment they were taken from me. In a flash I was taken away, I was gone and they were no more my concern. Well this is how I am feeling about the concerns of what is happening in the world; of politics, religion, my nation, injustice here, corruption there, endless, ceaseless ragings of a sea. I know in a moment my time will be over. The Lord will call me with His trumpet. Suddenly I will die and be gone and the Lord will raise me to Him. Death, you are not a fear, there is no sting in you. My grave, you are my gateway to my rest, the finish line to my victory! Oh what a wonderful moment that will be when I leave behind a world squabbling with concerns! In eternity my cares relieved. Psalms 112:7 They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD. 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 54-55 In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.....So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Revelation 21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea......and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. Revelation 14:13 Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor... Psalms 23:6 ...and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
