In a monetary system, democracy is an illusion perpetuated to give the populace a feeling of participation in a so-called democratic process. In general, people nominated for public-office. Politics was good a hundred years ago. Today, politicians have no ability to solve any problems because they are not students of behavior. They are not students of agriculture, oceanography, they know nothing about the factors that operate the world. So, they say things that people like to hear. And that gets them elected. Now scientists on the other hand are not concerned with public approval. What they do, even if everybody on earth believe the earth was flat, they would say: Youre wrong, this is the evidence we have to support the fact that the earth is round but they dont say: its a little round and a little flat - thats politicians. Politicians have opinions about everything and information about nothing in particular. Therefore you understand that the decisions are not made by the majority of people. They are made by the majority of people that have technical competence that have information in the areas you wish to excel in and methods of scientific scales of performance. If you have a million sincere people that have no technical competence I can assure you, nothing can be accomplished. The country’s actions and decisions are made by and for major corporations, and financial interests. As long as money and a monetary system prevail, true democracy will be nothing more than an illusion. We must stop constantly fighting for human rights and equal justice in an unjust system, and start building a society where equal rights are an integral part of the design. As long as we remain in a monetary system, most people will never have the money to behave democratically. A person may desire a particular type of house and car, but lack the means to purchase it. How has this person benefited from the democratic process or the freedom to choose? Yet we strive to have a democratic system that would be the best government in the world. In actuality, we are only as free as our purchasing power permits. With money concentrated in the hands of so few, even this freedom is illusory.
