In a much anticipated election, Fijians recently elected a government led by Frank Bainimarama, the same man who led the coup in 2006. Bainimarama is likely to remain embittered about Western sanctions applied to him and Fijis military. He may also continue courting China and Russia - a move that is likely to frustrate both Canberra and Washington. But will his election affect the geo-strategic order in the region?
