In a page straight out of The Truth is Stranger Than Fiction file, if you read my post from earlier this morning where I was explaining my introduction into the world of sales, the gentleman who hired me as an unproven salesperson for that international consulting company, where I quickly became the top salesperson in the world, just called me out of the blue ten minutes ago. He just saw my name mentioned in a print newsletter which just came in his mail in NJ (which I had no idea about) and Googled me and then called me. He had retired shortly after he hired me and had no idea of anything regarding me since he hired me back in 1998. He told me that the day I came in and interviewed for the position, some of the other salespeople told him not to hire me because I was too tall and Id bruise the egos of the CEOs Id be selling to. Jeez- really? Height? I never knew they said this until today. And he never knew until today that I had the success at that company that I did. How wonderful to reconnect. Lifes funny, huh? ツ
