In a partnership with Ms. Ryons class, the PTA will run our Letters for Soldiers project. The last time we ran this project, we sent hundreds of drawings and letters to Soldiers serving in Afghanistan. This year, we will be sending drawings or letters to Soldiers currently serving a one year deployment in Djibouti, Africa. The Soldiers have been in county for a few months now and will be there beyond the end of this school year. The Soldiers truly enjoy receiving mail and often cherish a smile sent from a child. The majority of them will not be coming home during the holidays. Our teachers, staff and students have been invited to participate in this program. All drawings and letters must be turned into the PTA mailbox no later than November 15th, marked attention to Jen Buchness.
