In a twist of fate, the stormclouds clear to reveal warm moonlight - TopicsExpress

In a twist of fate, the stormclouds clear to reveal warm moonlight for a truly brilliant, brilliant night! Upon arriving at our gig in Wardle we where greeted by a cold doom and gloom and last minute cancellation. We decided to regroup up the road with a pint at the Globe, a place which we have played to a enthusiastic packed house several times. Then, something truly surreal happened. We found ourselves in the middle of a raving Christmas party when, like a scene from the movie its a wonderful life we where greeted like returning sports heros to cries of are brilliant, its the Intercity boys. A pint was duly thrust in our hand as a hat was passed around to cries of we want Intercity. Astonished, we looked at each other and, after little a do, we unloaded, set up and partied the roof tiles off in style through till 1:30 am. Those musos amongst you will know of the immense amount of work that goes into creating a great band and week after week putting a show on the road. And will therefore, understand how heartwarming such a show of combustible, spontaneous support can be to uplift flagging spirits. A massive thanks goes out to Peter, the staff and wonderful regulars at the Globe for what is truly some of the warmest support we have ever bathed in. Yep they love their blues in Wardle, and if last night is anything to go by, then at least in the Globe, they love Intercity Blues Band too. From me and the Intercity boys, and the depths of our hearts, heres wishing a very merry Christmas and all that is wonderful for 2015 to all our friends and supporters wherever you are and especially at the Globe in Wardle. We love you.
