In advance of anticipated freezing temperatures and precipitation in Central Texas, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is working with The Texas Department of Transportation to pre-treat Mobility Authority bridges and overpasses on 183A and the Manor Expressway (US 290 West) with a liquid de-icing agent, which has already been applied. Crews will monitor the weather conditions throughout the evening and deploy trucks to spread solid de-icing materials if we begin to get ice accumulation. The Mobility Authority reminds motorists to always use caution on slick and icy roads and when possible to wait until the weather improves before driving.
