In all honesty, when I graduate, Im probably going to owe my law degree to this girl, Hel. Genuinely dont know how I would have managed it but for all the times shes told us it will be fine (when actually, it really wasnt, but she reassured us anyway). The times shes patiently listened to my incessant whining. The times shes stayed up late to talk me through things I just did not understand - which I then aced (sort of) on the exam paper. That time we stayed up all day and all night to finish that last minute piece of coursework. Equity & trusts and when in doubt, just quote Stack v Dowden. It doesnt matter if you make a case up, theyre not going to know if R v Jones doesnt exist! Girl, if I ever become an academic, I shall dedicate my first book to you and all your help (and intelligence!).
