In anticipation of the Housecore Horror Film Festival Cretos Filthgrinder–of one of the other performing bands, A Band of Orcs picks his Top 5 ”oRcsential Grind” Albums: 1. Terrorizer, World Downfall “Me proclaim album the blueprint for grindcore. Jesse Pintado’s guitar is blood soaked electrocution frantic while oRc ear catchy. Pete Sandoval’s blastbeats are pulverizing smash and Oscar Garcia’s human vocals right on the top crushing your head in! No matter who you like and don’t in metal, Terrorizer’s World Downfall murders all of extreme music and non oRc metal that unites us.” 2. Carcass, Symphonies of Sickness “The cover of Symphonies of Sickness makes Cretos hungry, but what is inside the album is where the real human meat is. Being a trio, this grinder album is brutal testament of the relentless impact a band make in thin numbers and still destroy. Bill Steer’s crushing guitar work should not oRcshine the call and hail vocals shared with human Jeff Walker. Ken Owen is fast and steadily smashes as the backbone to the chaotic fury laid on top.” youtu.be/Cj-e0FiVuvw 3. Exhumed, Gore Metal “oRcrything about this band is crushing! From ear hints of melody to the pop of the war drum, it’s an extremely good record. In fact it is a cornerstone that a war wagon was built on. Tandem guitars allow for more human creativity while call and hail vocals again make for a snotty layering over the top of everything. If you haven’t seen this band live and ever have a chance make sure you do or Cretos hunt you like other humans!” youtu.be/unM4XyJT32w 4. Napalm Death, Death by Manipulation “Cretos like both line ups. The record make best of two different entity’s the band had. Grindcore…death metal…it’s NAPALM DEATH. Firstly you get the frontal assault of Barney Greenway’s human vocals and crushing tandem guitars. Then on the B-side, Lee Dorrian’s low end rumbling the floor as Bill Steer’s tremolo bar cracks the ceiling to dust! Much rumble and fissures! Let it be noted from Cretos that Jesse Pintado and Bill Steer’s guitar work listed twice for oRc reason, as grindcore guitar got it’s teeth cut by them.” youtu.be/6hRfOU3c2KM 5. Lord Gore, Resickened “This album is sick and twisted with many hell crushing tunes. The gurgling boiling throat vocals are punishing! It’s a very guttural album in general even for oRc’s. Crushing guitar tone, blastbeats of variable speeds, and hilarious yet sometimes thought oRc provoking samples. It is the party beats for all Gore-stained oRc’s and a very clean splattered production. Although not as know in the realms, do yourself a favor and party like a oRc star with Lord Gore at full volume!” youtu.be/9c2wd1MCeJE youtu.be/Y6ytQknklCk
