In case you havent seen this yet, published today in The Hill, the ACHE Act is listed on the front page. Big thank you to Allan Lichtman for such a great piece. The Hill is in every congressional office in DC. Please send this far and wide and express to everyone how important it is that those of us at ACHE that are working this bill in Congress need their financial support. New science just released last week proves that breathing MTR blasting dust promotes the growth of lung tumors. here:pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/es504263u We cannot sit passively any longer, this must stop. If a terrorists bomb containing silica, alum. molybdenum went off in NYC and the residents there were breathing these toxins it would be all over the national news, donations would come in millions. Yet, we that live beneath the terror of mountaintop removal bombing every damned day are breathing these cancer causing particulates and we are dying, but seem to be thought of as non-existent, as if its okay to kill us with toxic agents from this insane and criminal act of bombing for small profitable seams of dirty coal. Where is the outrage??? Where is the financial support we so desperately need? We can pass the ACHE Act but we have to be in DC to do this work. We cant be there without the financial support to continue to push the ACHE Act through. Please send folks to our underfunded web site acheact.org and ask them to donate, a small 20-25 dollar gift on a recurring monthly schedule which will allow me and all of us at ACHE to work on the bill instead of being sidetracked almost constantly to find funds so we can do the work. This is the most important bill in Congress, I dont care what anyone else may argue. People, real people, children are being poisoned daily by MTR blasting. Nothing will end MTR anytime soon except the ACHE ACT, nothing short of the President calling MTR an act of terror, and although that is what it is and what it should be called, he isnt going to do that.
