In closing I would like to thank some others who served. Chris Dolan, Del Hatfield, Mike Ross, Diane Hampton, and Marcus Robinson, Chris Raymond, I thank you for your service to our country. But let us please remember our homeless veterans, many of them here in Houston, who live on our streets, many of whom have crippling mental conditions that they picked up during conflicts abroad. Many are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, and we should HONOR these warriors, by making sure they receive the best possible medical care, not attaching some sort of stigma to them. These men and women DESRVE better for all that they have done for our Country. I think you will agree with me on this. For today let us put the politics aside and honor those who have served. We can agree or disagree about the folks who put them in these situations, but that is for another time, another day. Today is about Our veterans, young and old, those who have served, and those who are serving now. Let us never forget, nor allow for the events of the past to happen to our veterans. And let us thank these brave warriors every day for keeping this great country safe, strong and free. God bless everyone, and God bless our Veterans!!!
