In complete agreement with one tiny exception and that would be the strong delusion aspect of the commentary. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2Th_2:11 I do believe there is a delusion in effect with the world, but Im not certain that God has not yet begun to send them the strong delusion just yet. Yes there is a lie and a delusion in the mind of men already in place at this time, but a strong one suggests that it will collect those who are still on the fence and would otherwise remain there without God send them the strong delusion. God already knows who will never accept the truth, so he merely adding some finality to their decision. Does that make sense? I think its more likely then not and it even reinforces the need for us to remain ever more vigilant in pursuing God and his fellowship as if possible even some so named Christians might also fall for this delusion. Lets look at it realistically, a strong delusion is different than a standard run of the mill delusion and also its not contextually accurate either taken the nature of the preceding verses in 2Thesselonians 2. Thoughts anyone?
