In defence of Patience Jonathan. Since Madam Patience Jonathan, - TopicsExpress

In defence of Patience Jonathan. Since Madam Patience Jonathan, our First Lady, made her now world famous remarks na you alone waka come, she has been the source of jokes, ridicules and mischievous ingenuity on the internet. Many people mocking Patience cannot even express themselves up to half of the level of Madam President . Let me ask: what is wrong with the expression na you alone waka come? Thats a fantastic undiluted pidgin English that will make a Warri guy to chop her knuckle. Is there any law forbidding her or any one in high office from speaking pidgin or even indigenous language? I once watched Governor Rochas Okorochas video on his visit to an English speaking country. The governor spoke in Igbo with an aide interpreting. Even our own Ken Saro-Wiwa wrote a book on rotten English, I think Similia (not sure of the title now). In the book, he said as a soza (soldier) boy I was prouding. My English Teacher taught me in Secondary School Class Five that the best communicator is the one whose message is understood by majority of his audience. Believe it or not, all those who have been collecting billions of dollars of defence budgets over the years without acquiring modern and sophisticated military hard and soft wares, arms and ammunitions, those behind non-functioning CCTV cameras , those who have been embezzling the salaries, allowances and pensions of police and other military officers, including their contractors, fake auditors, family members and friends; they have all been SHARING BLOOD!
