In fact, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar on September 25 - TopicsExpress

In fact, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar on September 25 met the visiting European Union delegation comprising ambassadors of Greece, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Ireland and a few other diplomats belonging to Europe and made a seditious presentation before them in his desperate bid to internationalise the Kashmir issue and damage India. Talking to the European Union delegation, Omar Abdullah said, “Accession of Jammu & Kashmir to India was on four matters such as currency, communication, foreign affairs and defence. While all Princely States acceded to the Union of India and then merged with it, Jammu & Kashmir only acceded and did not merge it. That is why, we have special status, our own Constitution and the State flag”. He also made common cause with Islamabad by telling the delegation that there was the need of “sustained internal and external dialogue between the Centre and the (Kashmiri) separatists and the two neighbouring countries of India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue once for all”.
