In honor of Kids Month next month in February...check out our monthly Mtn. Times article: Tooth Fairy Facts The modern tooth fairy has been around since 1927, however, earliest reports of appearance date back to the Middle Ages. While quite elusive, most reports indicate that the tooth fairy is female and pixie like in appearance. The average payout per tooth is approximately $3.70, although experts agree that the tooth fairy pays substantially more for perfect, and well cared for teeth (that means no cavities kids!). What does the tooth fairy do with all those teeth? It is well known that she uses the teeth collected to build and make things she needs, using toothpaste as mortar and teeth; like bricks to build her castle. Most experts also agree that she uses the teeth to make tooth fairy dust, which may or may not be how she slows down time to collect all the children’s teeth around the world. It is estimated she collects approximately 300,000 teeth per night.
