In honor of Midwifery week, why dont we post some FABULOUS statistics: Vaginal deliveries: 83.3%. TOTAL C/S: 16.7% - 1) planned for placenta previa, 2) Planned repeat for gestational diabetes- baby weighed 12 lbs 10 oz. 3) repeat C/S after TOLAC. Primary C/S rate: 2.7% for placenta previa- out of anyones control except nature! Which means ZERO C/S for failure to progress or big baby. VBACs: 75% success. 4 attempted. 1 vacuum for decreased fetal heart tones. Of those wanting natural, 67% were successful. Of those that had doulas, 80% went natural!! (GET A DOULA). ZERO episiotomies. 63.6% had an intact perineum or a small 1st degree. And ZERO forceps. Can I get woop-woop?
