In honor of #NationalVolunteerWeek, Special Olympics International would like to wholeheartedly say thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of our movement. They are coaches, trainers, officials, event organizers, fundraisers and managers. They can also be unified partners -- playing alongside athletes with intellectual disabilities -- or fans cheering in the stands. Special Olympics is about transforming lives, including your own. As Winston Churchill once said We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. We would love for you to share with us your inspirational volunteer stories.
