In honor of Veterans day I thought I would add a couple pictures of a B24 Liberator the plane that my father flew in during WWII. He managed 33 missions as a tail gunner with a life expectancy in battle measured in minutes. Tail gunners didnt make it out of damaged planes. Their location in the trunk made it nearly impossible to parachute out. Luckily for the Gerulski clan, he survived to come home and sire 6 kids before dying of a stroke at the age of 51.
