In honor of the Reeds Spring Tomato Festival, August 2, I thought I would upload a scan of one of the bucket tokens from my great grandfathers canning factory. Arthur Wesley Mease, known as Art, ran the A.W. Mease canning factory. Workers got one of these tokens for peeling a bucket of tomatoes and then they turned them in for their pay. I wonder how much they got paid a bucket? Probably not much.
