In honour of World Turtle Day I share some snapshots of what turtle work in the field looks like! Many many volunteers walk beaches to spot and protect the turtle nests, keeping them safe from dangers (men and predators) to give the hatchlings at least a good start before theyre on their own. Thanks Doe Cayman and their turtle hero Janice Blumenthal involving us in their great work! These pictures were taken in 2011 at the end of the Cayman Islands turtle season, one of the last nests to watch during an upcoming storm.
