In its ambitious target to gain power in India, Mr. Kejriwal has gone too far now:- HE VOICES AGINST BANNING OF KHAP PANCHAYATS ACROSS INDIA Khap Panchayats have been time and again found associated with Anti-Women judgement and gross violations of IPC. Kejriwal says: No, it is not a question of banning these panchayats, he further adds:- Khap panchayats are a group of people who come together. There is no bar on people to assemble in this country ... (But) whenever they take a wrong decision, whenever they take an illegal decision, they ought to be punished, Their (Khaps) diktats have ranged from banning women from wearing western clothes and using mobile phones to ordering the killing of young couples. Some councils have demanded that the minimum age of marriage be lowered to 16 from 18 for girls and 21 for boys as a way of coping with an increase in the number of rapes. We wouldnt be surprised if in your next interview/press-meet you voice against banning of SIMI & IM and wait till the time they do something wrong, then only shall we take action against them. What astonishes me is the media still trying to project him positively.
