In last 6 months, apart from Anhon Dekhi, this is the only Bollywood film that I enjoyed & that too an English one - Finding Fanny... (A bloody weekday havent been so enjoyable in last 2 months).. Homi Adajanias road movie breaks the stereotypes while presenting a bunch of quirky, grey yet lovable characters. Beneath the weirdness of the utterly bitterly delicious proceedings the pathos & loneliness of characters could be felt - and thus began their journey to find Love & Happiness. And Homi keeps it subtle without taking the easy path of manipulative over-emotions. This loopy, character driven film remained true to its essence by never trying to reach anywhere; its more about the heartwarming discoveries of life at every step rather than achieving a goal; & thats where the film will stood out from many other recent films. And yes, the metaphors... And, ofcourse Goa looks as ravishing as a newly wed bride in her first night, her beauty exposed serenading in front of the camera as they made love passionately. And the performances demands awards & accolades... (and another loopy and) and Yes people die but love doesnt... Felt so much refreshed (probably 1st time in last 2 months since this new job) post watching a film bohut din baad,.... would love to go again.. oh fanny re, oh Fanny re. :)
