In mid-1994, Congressman Schiff requested the General Accounting - TopicsExpress

In mid-1994, Congressman Schiff requested the General Accounting Office (GAO) to search the records of the USAF and several other agencies for any records they might hold dealing with the so-called “Roswell Incident.” He did not ask for nor was he looking for records that would prove the Roswell event was something extraterrestrial. His quest was simple. What really did happen in Roswell, NM in July 1947? The U.S. Air Force, having knowledge of the forth coming GAO Audit, did a pre-emptive strike of their own. In an effort to embarrass Congressman Schiff, they assigned two officer to a search for any records that might shed any light on the so-called “Roswell, NM Incident” of July 1947. In their pre-emptive report, they made it clear that they were incapable of finding any records addressing the so-called “Roswell Incident” and they find nothing addressing any possible extraterrestrial event. All records that might have shed some light on the event had been ordered destroyed by an unknown authority and for unknown reasons, as these documents were of an historical nature. Knowing that their conclusion could in the future come back to bite them in the hind side, they wished to make it clear that it was impossible to check all the records for that time frame. The report was unable to determine what happened here in Roswell, NM in July 1947 due to all the records being destroyed. However, they had to come up with something so they did the next best thing. They made a guess as to what happened, that being the recovery Project Mogul balloon flight 4. Having worked closely with Congressman Schiff’s Office during this time, I provided his office, the GAO and the U.S. Air Force with documents going into the early 50’s dealing with Project Moondust’s involvement with recovery of unknown objects and how later Operation Bluefly came into play. For unknown reasons neither the GAO nor the U.S. Air Force would touch upon Moondust and Bluefly. Could it be they were concerned as to what they might have found? In 1948, the U.S. Air Force created a stand-only CIC Detachment (Det.), known as Det. 35. It mission was to gather information and physical evidence dealing with the “flying disc.” In 1952, the U.S. Army CIC turned over all the records they were holding on the flying disc, with the exception of a few reports from overseas, to Det. 35. In 1995, I did a 174 page report and sent it to 27 members of Congress dealing with Project Moondust and Operation Bluefly. When some of these members of Congress asked the USAF and Department of Defense about these missions the response was always the same: “THESE MISSIONS HAVE NEVER EXISTED.” God Bless, Cliff
