In my Creative Writing: Poetry class this week, we have been discussing the power of memories. To know me is to understand how incredible I find memories, for right or for wrong, good or bad ones. They are a great source of inspiration for me, and Im such a sentimental fool, my heart is frequently overwhelmed (my sincerest apologies to anyone who has to deal with this firsthand). My teacher posted this quote in response to one of my peers discussion board assignments this week, and I found it so utterly profound I wanted to share it. I might have to read Cassandra Clares books sooner rather than later - theyve been on my list. “We are all the pieces of what we remember. We hold in ourselves the hopes and fears of those who love us. As long as there is love and memory, there is no true loss.”― Cassandra Clare, City of Heavenly Fire
