In my life I have seen a few places and met a few people. Over the past year, my life has called me to shelters/pounds across Arkansas, Parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. There are a few of those the world would be better off if they did not exist. BUT there are a few I have even said, when I get old I wanna live there and not an old folks home or if I am reincarnated as a dog I would prefer to live out my days there. Morning Meadow Animal Rescue is one of those! MMAR is located in Fordyce and serves Dallas County area, but they have also taken dogs from other places. The first time I saw the place I was in awe of what two women with no money or big financial backing could do. You can always tell how the animals are treated by how the animals act and all of their dogs were so happy! There were some who had been there a while, who know tricks, how to dance even. The place is clean, seemed to be very well run and I met Mandy. It is obvious when you meet Mandy how much she really LOVES the animals and what she does. She walked me through and told me the story behind each dog there. Now MMAR is in NEED of your help! They city is wanting to take away a lease they were given and when this happens, they will be forced to shut down. It has taken a small miracle to raise the money to build the kennels and buildings they have now. Mandy and Paula have done what so many of us talk about doing, but are afraid. They took a lil bit of money and a lease from the city and built a paradise for homeless dogs. Paula networks until her fingers bleed, to get these dogs transported to rescues where they get the second chance they deserve. This world needs more places like Morning Meadows Animal Rescue and it sure as the dickens needs more people like Mandy and Paula! PLEASE help!
