In my mind, Carolina Panthers are an easy pick to win vs the Lions, and not just because Im a fan. First off, Megatron. His numbers the past few seasons have been declining majorly. Second off, The Lions defense really is a bunch of no names except for 2 people. Third and MOST important. If you cant even run against the Giants, then your run game will be practically non existent vs great run stuffers like the Panthers. Also, passing is their strength? Well, good thing Carolina has one of the best pass rushes in the league, if not the best. So you can take all that supposed accuracy from matt stafford and cut it in half. Basically, its extremely hard to win a game without having a decent run game. Up against this pass rush, I see at least 2 turnovers, more likely 3. Were playing our home season opener...and outside. Lions play in a dome. Panthers will do what they always do, run the ball with double trouble/four headed dragon, eat up the clock, bomb a couple throws to benjamin and olsen, and the Lions will get out of our house. I honestly dont think this game will even be that close. My prediction: Panthers 27 Lions 15
