In my opinion, dog owners have been getting more and more arrogant as time goes on. You would think the leash law was a poorly thought of suggestion by the huge majority of dogs that are run off leash in our parks. In some cases, the owners pay so little attention that they would have no idea if there dog had been hit by a car, killed another animal or was being attacked by another dog, let alone that it could be deficating where it may be inadvertently walked through. But THIS! This takes the cake. Not just in San Jose but elsewhere where dog owners bag up their dogs poop and leave it next to the trail. For who? Is there a dog poop service out there? The implications that come with leaving it for someone else to clean up! I suppose that any type of deliberate littering should deserve the same ire but there is a difference between saying someone else should clean up after me and someone else should carry my dogs waste.
