In my opinion, this video is a must watch for anyone interested in improving the quality of education in our country. Sir Ken Robinson explains the current challenges in education and suggests how to escape educations death valley. Human beings are naturally different and diverse 2. Curiosity - we are natural learners 3. Human life is inherently creative Three things all high performance systems in the world do: 1. Individualized teaching and learning (engage curiosity, individuality and creativity) 2. Attribute very high status to the teaching profession (you cant improve education if you dont pick great people to teach and invest in professional support and development) 3. Devolve responsibility to the school level for getting the job done And finally, the three types of people described by Benjamin Franklin: 1. Immovable - people who dont get it, dont want to get it, and dont want to do anything about it 2. Movable - people who see the need for change and are willing to change 3.
