In my quest to come up with a cool cycle of dual lands, I think Ive finally hit on a reasonable contender. Drop-lands (yes its a shitty name). The would basically read as follows: ~ comes into play tapped unless you control no untapped lands and you mana pool is empty. So theyd be untapped if you dropped them turn one and on any turn that you use your full mana pool before playing a land. The idea is that youd be able to get off one-drop spells with them on the turn they came out but but much else (barring artifact shenanigans). You obviously wouldnt want to rely too much on them since youd be a turn behind using nothing but them. But there are decent combat tricks, counter spells, and dudes that only cost one. Having that one come from two colors greatly widens the pool of threats that you might have in hand (as far as your opponent knows). So, what are everyones thoughts?
