In my readers Bits (Kano Kabasomi) The HE President in areas of Kigezi with Ruhakana Rugunda is working miracles and cementing relationships with the people • Talking to Bakiga Communities and lowering a wing of kindness by listening to all our people in Uganda will improve our country and save it •We need him for another term • > We want to see our Universities increase intake from 23,000 students to 50,000 just fresh students alone • My Vice Chancellor Doctor Dumba Sentamu should intesfy on more research,innovations,Herbal Medicine research ,Stem Cell,Spider Web winding to treat tendons,Research in other Science areas like life extension etc Uganda need to be seen take the lead • KIU should expand further and cover many areas of Academy while continuing its emphasis on foreigners studying here • MUBS should closely be doing enhancements in Information Technology and Business thus should become a centre of Business and Chartered Courses to create employment for Ugandans in East Africa and Uganda in areas of forecasting and planning as well as management Science • Ndejje University should put emphasis on Sports medicine,Business and Engineering we should expect first class engineering ,Civil,should also go ahead and put more emphasis on chemical Engineering •Crop Production research and new developments •Many Schools put emphasis on improving standards at high school we should increase enrollment of foreign students •Ndejje University should increase its admission of first years from various countries step up numbers up to 30,000 freshers • >Ugandan Universities should go in serious Sciences and areas of Medicine so that we can start manufacturing Medicines here to equip our hospitals and export medicine in other countries why not •The Quality of Medicines from Egypt had gone so high that medicine comming from India and Pakistan because of the healing ability •Ugandan Universities should serious take over in areas of Medicine and taking a lead in this can help our country definately • I equally see there should more effort in Mathematics in Primary Schools and Sciences and this emphasis of the Ministry insisting teachers to join teaching and Nursing should have a back ground of English,Science and Mathematics will improve a lot in terms of standards in Primary Schools •In order to improve the status of our people Quality of teaching is critical as the government is also improving on the quality of education and Syllabi• This is indeed is revolutionary in its own way• The President wants to break the mess of taking courses which prepares you for office you wont see•Skilling in rare areas is emphasis in Uganda •Studying such areas puts you ready for better employment in East Africa as well as in Uganda its self • We still need more in other areas of business • Byamugisha Faisal.
