In my town the Health department official said it is OK to sell Caramel Apples at a public event but not a Caramel Pear. So we asked him what is the difference between an Apple and a Pear? He decided to ask The State Attorneys Generals office for his opinion. The Health official thinks that a Pear is a hazardous food vs. An Apple which he classifies as a non hazardous food. So I ask everyone who is reading this, what is the difference between an Apple and a Pear? You cant make stories like this up! Lol
