In my younger years I briefly held the Guinness record for a strait jacket escape in less than 8 1/2 seconds, as well as doing the BURIED ALIVE ESCAPE, (took 34 minutes...) Ive escaped chains, straitjackets boxes, ropes, handcuffs, as well as challenge device escapes. I do know a bit about the Art of Escape. I did not enjoy THIS movie of HOUDINI! It was based on the pseudo-biography by a psychiatrist, who sought to publish his psychiatric analysis of HOUDINI. I did not enjoy that book, HOUDINI, A Mind In Chains much either. There were too many falsehoods in the book and the movie to mention here! Why do authors and script writers think that need to change distort the truth? Houdini, his cater, and his life were amazing as they were. They need no embellishments! If they wish to write FICTION, then why not make up the names of the characters, as they do the facts?
