In northeast Georgia, Athens Stake president Scott Johnson said there actually has been an increase in membership in the LDS church. The Stake recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. At the time it was formed it included about 2,900 members in 11 congregations from Greensboro to Clayton and four in the Athens area.
