In one full day Deer Valley Farm proved their strong program had appeal to all segments of the industry as they hosted the Focused on the Future VII Production Sale followed by the DFVs Fall Performance Tested Bull Sale. Both sales were equally as impressive as the females sold for top values to some of the elite Angus breeding programs from across the United States; and, in what could be described as the best bull sale east of the Mississippi, bulls sold to top commercial cattlemen from throughout the Southeast. In the female sale 119 lots grossed $1,690,050 to average $14,202; while in the bull sale, 208 bulls grossed $966,050 to average $4,644, bringing the days total sales to $2,656,100. The top selling female was Lot # 2A, DEER VALLEY HENRIETTA 3168 - one-half interest in this January 2013 daughter of TEN X out of 643T, which combined excellent phenotype with exceptional performance numbers, sold for $135,000. The second high selling female was another January 2013 daughter of TEN X - Lot # 5, DEER VALLEY BLACKCAP 3172, which is out of a daughter of CONNEALY ALL AROUND; and, had potentially even stronger performance values, sold for $110,000. In the bull sale, the top selling bull was a powerful son of CC&7, Lot # 22, DEER VALLEY CC&7 2009 sold for $17,000. Congratulations to Fred Clark and Jonathan Perry on building one of the elite breeding programs in the country; and, holding one of 2013 best Angus sales.
