In one word I think its safe to describe our current weather as YUCK. This week as a whole will average near normal with no Arctic cold expected though it will be seasonably chilly. Models are split on the days ahead. Personally and call it nothing but gut instincts at this point I expect some kind of January surprise. As to what? Too early to speculate very much though it includes some mild wet days and another round of very cold air and snow chances as we head toward the last couple of weeks of the month. Still lots of cold Arctic air to our north and an active southern storm track. You got to believe with the ingredients present that at some point we hit the snow jackpot with a significant event sometime before months end. The period of January 20th through the 31st is typically our coldest stretch of winter weather locally so time will tell if my hunch is correct or Its a bad case of indigestion! ⛄️
